Row 34 Portsmouth is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Prep Cook to join our team. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of ingredients and performing basic cooking tasks to support our culinary team. Your main objective will be to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the kitchen by accurately following recipes and portion control guidelines.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and portion ingredients, such as vegetables, meats, and sauces, according to recipes and specific guidelines.
- Assist in the cooking and assembling of various dishes, including soups, salads, and appetizers.
- Follow established procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including proper food storage and handling.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food preparation during busy periods.
- Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure all food items are prepared to the highest quality and presentation standards.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines, including proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, collaborating effectively with team members and supporting a harmonious work environment.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the management.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Prep Cook or similar role in a restaurant or culinary establishment is preferred but not necessary.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and efficiently.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to stand, lift, and carry heavy items.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
