Bar Manager - Seaport

Department: Front of House
Location: Boston, MA

Row 34 Seaport seeking an experienced Bar Manager to lead bar operations at our high-volume restaurant in Boston’s Seaport District. While this role has a primary focus on the bar and beverage program, it is a full restaurant management position. The Bar Manager is expected to be just as present and engaged in the dining room, at the host stand, and on the floor as other members of the management team.

This is a hands-on management role, focused on leadership, operations, and guest experience — this position does not include bartending shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all day-to-day bar operations

  • Lead, train, schedule, and develop the bar team

  • Maintain service standards, consistency, and quality across bar and floor service

  • Actively manage the dining room and host stand alongside other managers

  • Support overall restaurant operations, including guest flow and service execution

  • Partner with the General Manager and leadership team on operational goals

  • Manage bar inventory, ordering, and cost controls (inventory experience a plus)

  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations

  • Handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently

  • Monitor labor and support financial performance of the bar program and restaurant

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a restaurant manager required

  • Strong background in bar operations and beverage service

  • Proven leadership and team management skills

  • Inventory and ordering experience preferred

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Compensation Package:

  • Competitive salary: $70K–$75K annually
