Row 34 is coming to Kenmore Square, and we’re building a team of kind, curious, and hospitality-driven people to help us launch our newest location.

Row 34 Kenmore is hiring a Sous Chef to support the daily operations of our kitchen and play a key role in training, leading, and motivating our team. This position works closely with the Chef de Cuisine to ensure prep, service, and systems are dialed in and running efficiently.


We are a seasonal/scratch kitchen with a focus on fish butchering, making fresh pasta and smoking & curing seafoods, all Row 34 Chefs play a large role in educating and training all members of the staff.

We work directly with fisherman and farmers to bring the best of New England to the restaurant.

You'll be part of a kitchen team that takes pride in its work, values consistency, and cares about doing things the right way.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the kitchen during prep and service, ensuring quality and consistency
  • Support day-to-day operations including ordering, inventory, scheduling, and staff supervision
  • Train and mentor line cooks and prep team members
  • Help develop daily specials and seasonal menu items
  • Maintain strong communication between FOH and BOH
  • Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and organization are always top priority

Who You Are:

  • A dependable and organized kitchen leader with sous chef or strong lead line experience
  • Comfortable managing a busy service and keeping things running smoothly
  • Skilled in both seafood prep and general kitchen operations
  • Able to stay calm under pressure and communicate clearly with the team
  • Focused on consistency, efficiency, and setting a good example
